OxSeek
Privacy Policy
Updated Oct 5, 2026
This website is the product homepage for the OxMail desktop email client. It describes the product, offers downloads, and publishes this privacy policy and the terms of service.
1. Who we are
This policy is published by OxSeek ("we"). It explains how we handle two kinds of information: what you submit on this website, and data involved when you connect your own mailboxes in OxMail.
OxMail is a mail client installed on your computer. Messages, attachments, calendars, and contacts stay on your device and with your mailbox provider. They are not stored on this website's servers.
2. Information we process
The website
- The email address you choose to enter before a download
- Product, version, operating system, and language for downloads and update checks
- Coarse technical details from the browser or client, and a hashed IP address, for statistics and security
This does not include the contents of your mailbox.
OxMail and mailbox accounts
You may add mailboxes you are allowed to use. Connections include:
- Google (Gmail), using Google OAuth
- Microsoft (Outlook.com, Hotmail, and Microsoft 365), using the Microsoft identity platform and Microsoft Graph
- Yahoo, including AOL and other mailboxes on the same sign-in system, using Yahoo OAuth
- Apple iCloud, Zoho, Fastmail, and services such as QQ Mail, 163, 126, and Alibaba Mail, using their OAuth, an app-specific password, or an IMAP/SMTP authorization code
Within the access you grant, OxMail reads, displays, searches, composes, and sends mail on your device, and syncs folders, read state, and any calendar, task, or contact features you turn on. OAuth refresh tokens, app-specific passwords, and authorization codes stay on your device.
3. How we use this information
We use it to provide the features you use in OxMail and on this website: sending and receiving mail, multiple accounts, search, productivity tools you enable, downloads and updates, and security. We do not sell your mail or mailbox data, and we do not use it for advertising.
4. Google user data
OxMail's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
In particular:
- Google user data is used only to provide or improve user-facing features that are prominent in OxMail, such as reading, searching, organizing, composing, and sending mail, and summarize, translate, or polish actions you start yourself
- Google user data is not used for advertising and is not sold
- It is not transferred to others except as needed to provide or improve those features, for security, to comply with law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with your prior consent
- People do not read your Google mail unless you give explicit consent, it is necessary for security, it is necessary to comply with law, or the data is aggregated and de-identified for internal operations
- Data received from Google APIs is not used to train generalized AI models
You can revoke OxMail's access to your Google Account at any time: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions
5. Microsoft user data
Data obtained through the Microsoft identity platform and Microsoft Graph is used only to provide the mail, calendar, and contact features you enable in OxMail. It is not used for advertising, sold, or used to train generalized AI models.
You can revoke access from your Microsoft account: https://account.live.com/consent/Manage
Work or school accounts can also review authorized apps at https://myapplications.microsoft.com
6. Other mailbox providers
Data obtained through Yahoo OAuth is used only to provide the mail features you request.
For Apple iCloud, Zoho, Fastmail, and mailboxes such as QQ, NetEase, and Alibaba Mail connected with OAuth, an app-specific password, or an IMAP/SMTP authorization code, OxMail uses those credentials and message data on your device to provide the client. You should also follow each provider's own terms and privacy policy. Revocation steps are on our support page.
7. Optional AI features
Summarize, translate, and polish can be turned off. Only when you use them does OxMail send the content you selected to the model service you configured, for that single request. That service may be software on your own computer (such as OxServer) or a third-party API you enter. This website's servers do not receive your mail.
8. Storage, retention, and security
- Tokens, authorization codes, and cached mail remain on your device until you remove the account in OxMail, clear its data, or uninstall the app
- Download records on the website are kept until you ask us to delete them or we no longer need them
- We take reasonable measures to protect those website records. Data on your device also depends on your system and account settings
9. Sharing
We do not share your mail with third parties except as described in this policy: the model service you send selected content to, processing by the mailbox provider itself, disclosures required by law, and a merger or acquisition handled as the law requires.
Infrastructure used to host the website processes technical logs only as needed to provide that hosting.
10. Deletion and your rights
You can remove an account in OxMail and uninstall the app to delete local copies, and you can revoke access at Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, and other providers. To delete download records we store on the website, email the support email published on this site or use the data deletion page on this site.
Where the law gives you the right, you may also ask to access or correct the information we store about you on the website.
11. Children
This website and OxMail are not directed at children under 14. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Changes
We may update this policy by posting the new version on this page. If a change materially affects your rights, we will mention it in a site announcement. Continued use of the website or OxMail after the update takes effect means you understand the updated policy.
